Dr. Ellen Clay

Ellen is Mathematician in Residence at the Math Forum. She recently spent five years teaching in Philadelphia Public Schools and the last 18 years working with mathematics teachers both in their classrooms and preparing them for certification.

     
 

Annie Fetter

Annie Fetter is an Educational Programs Leader for the Math Forum. She has run the Forum's Geometry Problem of the Week since 1993 and supports teachers at all levels as they implement problem solving and technology. Prior to the Math Forum, Annie worked for the Visual Geomety Project, which developed the first version of the Geometer's Sketchpad.

     
 

Dr. Michel Miller

Dr. Michel Miller is a Assistant Professor of Special Education in the School of Education at Drexel University. She has a PhD from the University of Miami. Prior to her work in higher education, Dr. Miller worked for 10 years in public education as a Supervisor of Pupil Services over special education programs and as a special education teacher.

     
 

Dr. Jason Silverman

Jason Silverman has been involved in mathematics learning and teaching for more than 10 years, having taught mathematics at the middle, secondary, community college, and university levels. He has his PhD in mathematics education from Vanderbilt University and is an active researcher in mathematics education and mathematics teacher education. His interests include developing coherence in teachers' mathematical understandings and technology in teaching and learning mathematics.

     
 

Hope Yursa

Hope is an assistant clinical professor in the School of Education. She spent more that 30 years with the School District of Philadelphia as a teacher, teacher coach and most recently as a central office administrator for mathematics education curriculum, instruction and professional development.

     
 

Stephen Weimar

Stephen Weimar, Director of the Math Forum, is a former middle and high school math teacher who has been involved with teacher education and professional development for over 25 years. Steve leads school improvement efforts focused on the use of technology in the math classroom and the teaching of algebra, data analysis, dynamic geometry, and proportional reasoning.
