YES YOU CAN! The Math Forum @ Drexel University is offering a series of on-line professional development courses that will prepare you to pass the Mathematics Praxis II, wholly funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE). There is no charge to you to participate in this high quality, supportive program (no grades or college credit pressure). For each of these courses, we will provide you with the textbook and technology needed for the course including a graphing calculator and Geometer’s Sketchpad®. Continuing Professional Credit will be awarded for each completed course as you prepare for the Mathematics Praxis II exam of your choice. When you have completed the five courses (four for the middle level Praxis II), we will pay your registration fees for the Praxis II. Each of the courses will be offered through our Online Asynchronous Collaboration model allowing teachers to learn from each other rather than going it alone, learn at convenient times from school or home rather than traveling at set times, and is intended to enrich your teaching experience, not just prepare you for the Praxis II. • Learn and work collaboratively Apply today to start on your way to being a highly qualified instructor in Mathematics! For more information, please call Dr. Ellen Clay at 215.895.2238 or email: m2m@drexel.edu. Online Async Collaboration: a means of MINIMIZING TIME while MAXIMIZING LEARNING |
